Guest Comments: Great fishing reguardless of the weather changes, great time as always. Caught tons of walleye at numberous sizes, fished depths of 12 to 15 feet with great sucess. First time for our friends from Miami and Savanah, GA. All of them said that the trip was better than they expected. We found walleye holes that provided us non stop action (10 fish per hour). We fished mainly the southeast side of the lake. Another fantastic trip. Larry, Mary, and family do a fantastic job!

Guest Comments: Comradeship-excellent, scenery- very nice, fishing-not bad. Fishing good in Am with white lead head tipped with minnow. Salted minnow worked well also. Best fishing in AM and PM of day. From 11 am to 7 pm slower period. Did well south end of the lake near river entrance. Weather very nice while here, lows in the 40's and highs around 65 to 70 degrees. Good fishin, Excellent eats, great family bonding. Had a great time. Also fed the woodchuck well and saw mamma moose with baby moose.

Lake trout were 7 to 8 pound range, largest northern was about 9 pounds (33 inches), largest bass was roughly 4 pounds. We had a great time!!

Last 2 days weather better, excellent fishing about 15 to 20 feet of water in the main lake off the islands. Fish in the 15 to 16 inch walleyes were very abundant. Northerns great in the channel also, caught about 10+ pound pike.

Cold front came in while we were there and made fishing more challenging. Fish just wasnt bitting good. We caught enough for several meals. Cannt beat fryed walleyes! We made all 3 portages. Minnows were the best and then a red/brown plastic worms with a small blade.

Biggest walleye 21 inch and northern 33 inch. Always had fish to eat. The last day my son and I caught 78 fish, 28 northern & 50 walleye, also a perch. Had a good time with the trip being just myself and my son.

Guest Comments: Wonderful trip! Loads of walleyes, mostly 17-18 inch, several 20-24 inch. The bigger northerns were hard to find, although did catch 6 between 30 and 36 inch. Typical fishing: periods where you had to question your intelligence followed by shortly after moments where you couldnt go wrong. Accomodations where you can do no wrong. Had the priviledge of breaking in the new fishing cleaning shed and new outhouse. Will have many storys to tell for years to come, some truer than others. Kydos to the hosts and pilots.

Guest Comments: Good numbers of fish at Fishtrap. Good quality of fish at Highrock (lots of 3 to 4 pound bass). Caught fish on pop-R's and plastic tubes (smoke, purple, copper). Largest pike 33 inch, largest walleye 23 inch, largest small mouth 4+ pounds. Great accomodations. Great pilot. Caught over 329 fish. Baits used- Mepps bucktail spinner 2 and 3, pop-R's, plastic tubes, lucky 13, blakemore road runner, minnows or leeches (dead or alive) for walleye. Saw 2 moose, eagles, and plenty of mosquitos and flies. Thanks for the good trip.

Guest Comments: Our second time to go the 3rd week of July (last time was to Dogfly). We love to catch small mouth on top water and we caught over 60 bass 15 inches or more. We caught the most on top water but others on jig and pig, lead head and leeches. Small mouth esp turned on from 6 pm to 9 pm at the many rock reefs. On the portage to Highrock (3 minutes) we caught walleyes by the weed beds. Not much for pike.

We love the fact that we are the only cabin on the lake, esp lake of this size. Quality fishery, excellent pilot, shes a very hard worker & friendly. Smoothest ride ever! Biggest muskie 42 inch, and did well on lake trout, caught about 40 trout largest being 31 inch.

Day 3: Nice sunshine, fish were alittle more finicky on both leech and minnow. Overall: Windy and rainy conditions is when fishing was at best. No problem catching 16-18 inch walleye. Minnows worked best. Excellent cabin and equipment. Even a limited skilled fisherperson can catch 50 walleye a day with ease here. Will be back again for sure. 3 days wasnt enough, pry go 6 days.

Guest Comments: Fishing alittle slow, nice weather (60 degree most of the week with a cold front moving through on Wed). Did alot of exploring, saw moose, caribou and wolf tracks. First day heard wolves with getting a response from our howls. Had a very good expirence. Hit walleye really well one evening and found a honey hole always good in evenings to catch supper.

Guest Comments: Good weather, fair muskie fishing (caught 49", 45", 43" and 42" muskies). Saw many, but caught 20 total. Did some trout fishing, some nice ones caught. Northerns slow. Game wardens stopped by and did ramdon check and were very nice.

Guest Comments: Aprehensice about the ice trip (most of lake was frozen over) but was excellent, and equipment was good. Weather cold but OK. Pike very aggressive but walleye less so. Caught a 40 inch pike abd others in the middle 30 inch class.

Guest Comments: Excellent walleye fishing, esp. in Kaminskag lake. Huge northerns caught in coves on Graniteboss lake using spoons and plugs. Most fish caught were near outflows from creeks. Biggest northern 36 inch and largest walleye was 27 inch. Most effective bait was spoons with a yellow tail.

Guest Comments: No rain the whole trip! Cold temps, great fishing. Walleye were in the rivers and you could catch as many as you wanted. Northerns were feeding with the walleyes, largest walleye 28.5 inches, largest pike 40 inch. Accomodations excellent. Many thanks!

Guest Comments: We appreciate it that L & M was on time taking us in and out. Ice was on the main part of the lake while the river was not iced in. Fishing was good but not great. Nice size cabin for our group of 6. Liked the friendly staff.

Guest Comments: We caught 55 fish with highlights being a 28 inch walleye, several 24 inch to 28 inch, good fighters. Small mouth bass, even two tastie perch but when the winds change and the temps go up the fish were on the feed bag. PS, the big fish got away.

Guest Comments: The ice was still on most of the lake so we fished near the river mostly. The walleye fishing was excellent and the northerns were alot of fun. Everyone caught a big northern.

Guest Comments: The weather was sunny, 50 to 60 degrees the whole time. Lake trout where on all the points 15 to 30 feet deep. Great fishing, small mouth action picked up with the water warming up the last day. Accomodations were great as always! Next stop Dobie!!

Guest Comments: Walleye fishing was slower than normal, caught a bunch of smaller males. Caught northerns but no real big ones. Had a good time.
