Guest Comments: We had a good time. Came here to moose hunt and got a nice 46 inch bull. Fishing was good too, caught plenty when we did fish. Water was low, tough to get into the portage lakes.

Guest Comments: Cabin was excellent & Beautiful, along with location of cabin was close to a major walleye hole to one side, and on the other side an excellent northern hole. Locating fish was easy, and they bit on about anything. Plenty of walleye everyday, no big northern this year but plenty in the middle range. All in all the fishing was excellent. Weather could have been better. Would go back again.

Guest Comments: Walleye fishing fantastic, several 3 to 4 pound class. Quit counting after 700 walleye! Pike fishing some what slower, but did catch 37 inch and several 20-30 inchers. One walleye caught was 5 1/2 pounds. Camp extremely nice, plenty of hot water and lights. Solar system works well!

Guest Comments: Weather was rainy most of the week with 1-2 foot waves 1/2 of the week. Each boat avg about 25-30 fish per day. Most of the northerns caught were up to 4 pound range. Total of 10-15 walleye per day 15-18 inches. First time to Shab and took some figuring out what they bite on opposed to Fawcett and Dobie lakes. Orange and red worked well also fire tiger color did well.

Guest Comments: A wonderful trip for the troupis family. The walleyes were scattered but plentiful. Northerns in deep water best caught trolling. Northern lights, shooting stars and a waxing moon made for quite a display. Best of all we were together.

Guest Comments: Heavy bass action in the cove across from the cabin in 8 feet of water. Lakers 200 yards off the island in front of cabin on silver spoons & rattle traps. Lakers at 20-30 feet of water, bass also on the North End near Bretz. Good numbers, fish for dinner every night. Loons dont like human swimmers!!

Guest Comments: Good weather overall with the exception of the high winds. Didnt catch a great numbers of fish but did catch good sized pike. Caught a 40, 39, 37, 34 inches. Hard to get into Strout due to the low water but did catch the 40 and 39 inch pike up there. Facilities were excellent as always with L & M.

Guest Comments: Great fishing...lots of walleyes!! Like the cabin improvements, esp. the running water in the fish cleaning shed. Besides walleyes, caught 1 bull head not sure where he came from, a perch, and a walleye with a baby muskrat in its stomach. Enjoyed watching the 3 adult eagles.

Guest Comments: Weather mid 80's most of the week. Rain on Thursday, wind on Friday- Good week for weather. Caught several bass and northern. Had to work harder for them than previous two trips. Largest fish were 4.5lb bass and 7lb northern. Best baits were tube baits, grubs, and straight tail worms for bass and anything for northern. Slow mornings- better afternoons. Cabins and equipment all worked great as usual.

We were amazed the nightcrawlers and butter we had forgotten were flown in.

More northerns than usual & larger, largest 36 1/2", lost 40" at the boat. 4th trip to Dobie & superlative in every aspect as usual!!

Very windy first three 3 days which made fishing tough. Weather improved last day and we caught a few more. Fishing by the falls and rapids was best for walleye. Deep troll the (20-35 ft) shorelines for Musky (32"&45")- trolled twice, caught 2! Portage into Napanee for one day of fishing - Awesome topwater Bass with the big northerns in 14-26 ft water. Have fun!

Strout lake was the best in rough weather, caught one after another using spoons, jigs casting into the shore. Walleyes hit on yellow jigs with leech retriving through 8-12 feet of water. Caught a 40 inch, 38 inch, and a 36 inch pike with many 30 inch class pike.

Guest Comments: Weather was normal, between 36 degree to 95 degree, windy every day. Wright lake and Granite Boss produced numerous 20-21 inch walleyes. Strout lake was fantastic. 40 inch pike and hundreds of walleyes. We had a hard time catching enough "legal" sized fish for our shore lunches. Local woodchuck and flying rodent were the entertainment for the week.

Good quality pike caught on #3 Mepps spinner w/ silver blade. Largest pike - 8#'s. Over 200 smallmouth caught on a variety of lures(springbreak sweet beaver, Mepps spinners, finesse worms). Most SM were small, 8-12" range. We did catch a few in the 3# range.

Guest Comments: First 2 days had heavy walleye concentration in the rivers. Slow fishing in the north part of the lake. Fishing in the southern part much better in the main lake the last 3 days as the weather got warmer. Several large northerns caught, 39" and 38" being the largest, and many between 25-30" class. Walleye avg. 16-18 inch with many 19-22 1/2". Bald eagles, 5 moose, and a friendly wood chuck at the cabin were some of the air breathing animals we saw.

Guest Comments: Opening weekend 2005 fishing trip. 4 guys and 1 grandfather @ 79. Water temp at Austin 60 degree's F. Had good fishing, until the winds dropped to calm and the temp reached 80. This was the calmest/warmest conditions we've seen in many years for Canadian opener. Caught walleyes which most where small but great eating. Best northerns found in front of cabin. Cabin/equip. all worked great. Try to be back this fall even though James lost 80 $$$ playing cards.
