Each of our lakes are LOADED with fish. This page provides you with some of the more effective lures and baits used to catch fish on our lakes. If you have any questions, please call us!

All landing nets must be wrapped in plastic as to not tangle in other baggage.
Please pinch all barbs down to reduce harming fish released

Please pack all luggage in soft sided bags-up to 50# per bag. (Not the body type bags) Please limit it to one medium-sized cooler per two people. (Not a 96 quart cooler). Or bring one small cooler per person. (6-pack size). Scroll down this page for our suggested packing list!

PLEASE PACK GEAR IN SOFT SIDED DUFFEL FOR FLYING


General

* 2 rods per person--1 light and 1 medium action rod. NO hooks or lures can he attached to line.
* 1 fillet knife
* 1 stringer
* 1 net per two people
* 1 minnow bucket per two people
* 1 needle nose pliers
* 50-60 1/8 to 1/4 oz. jigs each
* 75-100 twister tails (chartreuse, yellow, red, smoke--2 1/2")
* 3-4 Rapalas (black & gold, or black & silver--5-7" in length
* 3-4 crank baits that run 10-15 inches deep. (Hot tiger, chrome, silver, red & white)
* 5-6 spoons (Doctor, Dardevl, Johnson silver minnow) (red & white, gold, silver or 5 of diamonds)
* 12 six inch leaders
* 1 bottle white pork rinds
* 1 tape measure per two people



Northern Pike

  • Medium to heavy action rod with 10-12# test line
  • Rattle traps--shad, blue, silver, chartreuse
  • 7" floating Rapalas--blue, silver, black & silver, chartreuse
  • Spoons--4-5" long--red & white, gold, silver, or stripped
  • Orange dardevles, blue foxes, or doctor spoons
  • Little cleos-3/4 oz. in above colors--gold & silver are the best
  • Bucktail Mepps--#4 & 5--dressed and undressed
  • Large bass spinner baits

Walleye

  • Light action rod with 6# test line
  • Little Joe spinners-24" long with a 3/4 oz. in-line sinker in gold, chartreuse, orange, green, white, or red
  • 1/4 oz. leadhead jigs with 2 1/3" twister tails--yellow, smoke, brown, white, chartreuse, black
  • We highly recommend you use live bait for walleye--minnows, crawlers or leeches. Minnows are #1 choice
  • Deep diving stick baits -- Rapalas, Bagleys, Hot & Tots Hot tiger Black & silver Black & gold shiners

Bass

  • Medium action rod with 6-8# test line
  • Bass spinner baits--1/8-1/4 oz. jig and twister tails--2-4" long
  • Rapalas
  • Rattle & traps
  • Beetle spinners
  • Mepps
  • Devil horses
  • We highly recommend you use live bait for bass - leeches or crawlers

Lake Trout
  • Heavy action rod with 14# test line
  • Sutton spoons
  • North port nailers
  • Flutter spoons
  • All in gold or silver
  • 3-way swivels and snap swivels to handle 2-8 oz. weight for late summer fishing.
  • Dipsey divers
  • 1-1/2 oz. jigs with 3-4" white tube tails

Muskie
  • Medium to heavy action rod--10-12# test line
