FISHING: This stained water fly in fishing lake is for the outdoor enthusiast who likes to portage and explore. Fishtrap Lake is abundant with northern pike and feisty smallmouth bass fishing, along with trophy walleye fishing. The one portage is a short walk with boat and motor waiting, into a fast-action walleye and smallmouth bass lake. The other portage also has a boat and motor waiting but is a long hike to an un-named walleye lake visited only by a few fisherman each year. Whether you portage or not, the peace and solitude are breathtaking. Fishtrap Lake will keep you coming back for more with its sand beaches for swimming, weed line trophy northern and rock reefs for smallmouth bass.

You're not likely to spend a lot of time inside when you're at one of our fly in outpost camps during your Ontario fishing vacation, but it's nice to know that when you do, the facilities are clean and comfortable.
