Directions & Map to L & M Fly-In Outposts

When you reach Fort Frances Ontario (first town on the Canadian side after you cross the border)

Follow signs for Highway 11 East straight through town down the main street (which is Scott Street)

You will continue to head East and cross over Rainy Lake on the Causeway Bridge (6 miles from the border)

Continue on East for 5 more miles. You will pass "Great Bear" gas station. Go 8 miles further and you come to Highway 502 heading north. It is a left hand turn.

You will drive North on Highway 502 for 89 miles to Wabigoon Lake Road.
About 23 miles North on Hwy 502, you will come to a gas station and restaurant. ("The Mallards Nest") Nice place to stop

Past this spot (another 66 miles) you will see a sign for Wabigoon Lake Road (L&M airbase) and Evergreen Golf Course. This is a right hand turn (east)
Follow the road another 2.9 miles to a "T" intersection (where you will see a cluster of mailboxes at the "T") turn right (south) on McIntyre Drive and drive 1/4 mile to a "Y" in the road - follow to the left at the "Y".

Drive 3/4 mile to Brough Drive. Turn left on Brough Drive and follow to the end of the road. This is L&M office and airbase on Wabigoon Lake.

If you are spending the night in Dryden, plan on 30 minutes to drive from town to L&M Fly In airbase on Wabigoon Lake. This should cover going through town, stop lights and all. Follow the map provided to back track to us from town. (Highway 594 then back on Hwy 502). Then follow signs back to L&M Fly In Outposts.

If you are driving during the daytime to Dryden the gas stations on the directions sheet are nice places to stop. There is a restaurant at "The Mallard's Nest" on Highway 502. But if you are traveling after hours, then be sure to fill up with gas before you leave Fort Frances so you have plenty to make it to Dryden.
