L&M Fly-In Outposts

February 2011 L&M Newsletter

Hello All,
Welcome to our first newsletter in 2011. This winter is proving to be a normal winter in terms of weather in NW Ontario and around elsewhere. Good amounts of snowfall across the region so far this winter. Makes a person wonder, if we are experiencing global warming, how much snow and cold would we have with out it?

The main point of this newsletter, we are launching a Silent Auction listed listed below. We had good results last year with this sales method and going to do another one now. We have a couple of cancellation dates we intend on putting up for auction. In todays' world the times change and so does our sales methods. Not always the way we wish it would change, but that is how it is. We did sport shows for so many years all through out the winter to gather customers for the upcoming season and now we do not attend any of these shows. They just do not produce the return for us to make them worth the time and the expense of the shows. The internet plays a major roll in our advertising and so does the personal referrals that our past customers give to their friends, family, and co workers. The world is a changing place and we have to change with the times. If you havent checked out our web site lately, we did put some new pictures up of some of the cabins we have updated and made changes to recently with a couple of various new videos, too.

Rules to apply: Auction starts as soon as this newsletter is sent out and will close Febuary 25, 2011. If you wish to place a bid, email us with your bid and we will require the following information for the bid to be accepted.

Fishing licenses for your 2011 fishing trip. We thank everyone who has already filled out the license form from our web site. It's appreciated that you have these filled out during the winter months so we can have your fishing license processed before our busy season starts. We ask that every member who knows for sure you are going on the trip, to have this completed. The form only takes you a couple of minutes to complete on our web site.

For those who have the Ontario Outdoor Cards from previous years fishing, we ask you still fill the form out as you still need the license tag. And DO NOT FORGET to bring your Ontario Outdoors card with you for the trip if you have it. For those who do not have the card we can issue a temporary card with the fishing lic, which is approx 10.00 to be added towards the fishing lic cost.

Boaters safety certificate: As long as we are sending out this newsletter, we might as well give this link again for those who still need to take the "once in a lifetime" boaters safety course to comply with the Ontario regulation. Every one who operates the boat in Ontario needs to have a certificate of somekind. We've mentioned this afew times in the past letters, but it is necessary as this is the best option to comply with the regulation. Any course of your choosing works, this is just one example that is free, very easy and fast to complete, and can be done online. If you already have taken any course before, you do not need to retake another one as the certificates are good for your lifetime. But you need proof of the course being completed. Visit www.boatus.com

Left hand side on the website, it says Free Safety Course. Click on that to get started. Any state will work of your choosing. Remember to print the completion of the course after the short test and bring that with you on your trip. It is a good idea to laminate your copy of the certificate. That will help to preserve it for future years to come.

Untill our next newsletter, we hope you stay warm and safe travels. Think Spring.
