L&M Fly-In Outposts

Greetings to all, Christmas 2007

We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Years on behalf of everyone here at L & M Fly-Ins.

Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying the winter activities. It's that time of year again. 2007 is almost gone and the start of another year. The weather is winter here in Canada, with plenty of snow and cold temperatures. Almost everyday brings snow or flurries or very cold temperatures.

Not too much to report in terms of business here at L & M at this time. We drove to Dryden to check on the airbase last week. Everything looks good. Buildings were the same as we left them. The docks froze in Wabigoon waters just about as expect. All of our airplanes are sitting in Sioux Lookout getting their winter maintenance work completed.

The last week was spent in Thunder Bay while Shane underwent his back surgery. He is up and Moving around already and doing pretty darned good. He had his surgery on Wednesday and was Flown back to Fort Frances by air ambulance since he was not able to take the 5 hour ride in our truck back home. From the airport there, they brought him to our door in the ambulance, so he could lye down riding. He should be back to his normal routine and jobs by the beginning of the season come April and May, and looking forward to the new season.

From the fall newsletter, you are all aware of Larry spending most of his time in Montana. Him and Shane were able to do their fair share of hunting again. Larry enjoyed doing some repairs and remodeling to his place there in Montana. Now he is back at home and catching up on the "honey do list here at home."

Lucas and Nikki are busy with the kids and their winter activities. Hunter is in Jr. Hockey this year and is loving it. They have a rink out in front of their home on Off Lake and the kids get lots of skating practice every day. The girls are going to be in swimming classes again this winter at the arena in Fort Frances. We got to go to the school Christmas concert on Friday. Those are just so darned cute.

Travis and Chris are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first child. The due date for this blessed event is February 22. This will be a great change in their lives. Chris will be going back to work after the baby is 6 weeks old and grandma has been invited to come down for the next two weeks to take care of the baby. They do not want to put the baby into daycare until she is 8 weeks old, so this is a chance for grandma and grandbaby to do some bonding. I can't wait!!!

If you want to stop by to chat with either Larry or Shane at any of the shows they will be at this winter,

They would love to see you. Larry will more than likely be doing more than Shane, as Shane might not be able to do much sitting yet at that time. But we have listed where one will be for sure.

If any of you have a chance to stop by, they can fill you in on some of the new remodeling plans we have for the spring. Hopefully it is a normal, early spring and we can get a start on the remodeling and updating in the planned cabins.

Again, we all take time to thank you for your past business with us and the friendship that we have made with you. We look so forward to being able to see and visit with you again this year, and tell of our experiences this year and hear about yours. We are blessed for these opportunities. God has given us the great outdoors to do our work and play in.

We wish each of you and your families a very merry and blessed holiday season.

May the sun be in your face , the wind be at your back and may you have a smooth path under your feet.

God bless all of you.
