Greetings,
The well known phrase, time flies by, sure seems to be a constant variable we all know too well. We are in the middle of the holiday season once again. Everyone here at L & M Fly-In wants to wish everyone a blessed Christmas and happy new year. Many of you who read this have become more than just L & M clients, rather you are considered friends of the family. We hope you all have a great winter, and please be safe in all your holiday journeys and travels. The winter has set in now, lakes are frozen, and the snow is piling up on the ground.
The biggest news to report, everyone is doing well. Aside from the common cold or touch of the flu bug that goes along with winter, we are doing well. Everyone has been busy doing what we do. We hope you are all well.
Travis and his wife, Chris, were blessed with a beautiful little baby girl this past year in February. Her name is Jaycie. She is a bundle of joy for them and for all of us. She is the happiest little girl. They will be joining us this Christmas so we will have a house full. (Just the way we like it) They live in Zumbrota, MN and Travis is working with Elliott aviation, as he has the past few years and Chris is back at the dental office in St. Paul.
Lucas and Nikki have finished their second year of running their own outpost operation and taking lots of fall deer hunters. Their three kids, Hunter who turned 11 years old in October, and Madeline and Matraca who turned 8 this past June, keep them running full time. Hunter is in grade 6 and busy with hockey this time of year. The girls are in grade 3 and in swimming classes at the arena in town.
Shane (yes, he's still single) spends most of his fall hunting with Larry. He will be back flying his beech this season and taking care of business. He will have lots of hunting stories to share with you this next season.
Here is a list of sport shows L & M plans to attend this winter/spring. If we are in your neighborhood, feel free to stop down and say hello. The guys are planning on working these shows this winter.
Madison Pheasant Fest Show -- February 6-8 (Alliant Energy Center)
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Show -- March 4-8
Minneapolis Northwest Show -- March 12-15
In terms of business news. Nothing really to report. If any big news or changes come up regarding your trip we'll be sure to let you know. Also keep checking L&M's web site, as we do make periodic changes/updates, if anything would happen to come up.
Our airplanes are sitting at the maintenance facility in Sioux Lookout. Besides a prop that is due for a scheduled overhaul this winter, they just need the basic inspections before the 2009 spring flying season starts.
If anyone of you reading this is still looking for a high quality fly-in fishing experience this upcoming season, look no further. n many of our conversations we have with people recently, seems the conversation always leads up to the stressful situation of the economy. Seems like everyone is effected one way or another. What a better way to help the soul relax and replenish. Let L & M help you relax. Imagine, out in the Canadian wilderness on your own with the luxury's we can provide, listening to the deafening silence watching a bald eagle soar above, all the while experiencing some of the greatest fishing Ontario has to offer at your finger tips. Perfect ingredients for a relaxing experience. L & M has many options to pursue. Get in touch and see what we can put together for you.
We wish you all Happy Holidays. Until next time, Godspeed.
Regards,
L & M Fly-In
Larry, Mary, and Shane Adams
